My Artwork Process (Somewhat)

Sometimes I have the urge to write, but I don’t know what to write about... Oh well, here is my process for how I usually draw my pieces / the process of finishing my last piece, Enshrouded by Wonderland.

Long story short— I enjoy most things that revolve around Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Alice in Wonderland (1951 film), Něco z Alenky, Alice’s Tea Cup, the actual book— you get the gist. Last month, I was inspired by my enjoyment, so I did a little quick sketch of how Alice was connected to Wonderland. The day after, I started my pencil sketch in a small sketchbook that I bought from Muji.

Alice is done, not happy

The finished piece (not too happy)

A few days of working on the main sketch, inking it, and making so many mistakes. I took a break and started on a new pencil sketch on a large sheet of bristol board. When the pencil sketch was completed, I began inking it with a 0.1 or 0.2 Sakura Pigma Micron Pen. After I let it dry (to ensure I don’t smudge the ink lines when I erase the leftover pencil lines), I colored my art with my old Prismacolor colored pencils. The piece is done!

I decorated the frame with some craft flowers and butterflies. Be careful when you glue with a hot glue gun. You might burn your finger like I did. I placed my finished artwork inside the frame and ta-da! A finished piece!
