What Journaling for a year taught me
I kept this EMSHOI Graph Paper Notebook - 256 Pages A5 Graph Notebook / Journal for about a year and now up to the final couple of pages. I've kept journals in the past, but this was a special one, I was able to be more creative. Here are some of the things keeping a journal taught me.
The Storyteller
I wrote and drew this comic during the pandemic. I had the idea for the comic for a while, so I had some downtime and created it. The comic was made on no-show manga paper, ink and digitally edited and colored.
Sentimental packrat
I'm a sentimental packrat. On display or in storage are trinkets from places I visited, greeting cards with handwritten messages from family and friends, old gaming magazines from the 2000s, photographs from gatherings, and many other items that would fill up a page if I tried to list them out.
New Journal, New Spreads
I’ve journaled on and off since I was a child. I’ve always loved anything involving stationery ever since going to Morning Glory when I was 5-6 years old. I kept business cards, brochures, and scraps of paper since college.
